Moisturizers for Your Healthy Skin

from:

Moisturizers are a combination of different chemical agents designed to make your skin softer by adding to its moisture content. When we have dry skin, it's usually because our skin lacks the correct amount of natural oils and water. Moisturizers help to put some of this moisture back into the skin. There are many types of moisturizers available today on the market. Many people choose to make up their own moisturizers with pharmacy or natural ingredients. Moisturizers are often used for dry or sensitive skin, although they also make moisturizers for oily skin as well. Good moisturizers should not burn or irritate your skin in any way. When trying moisturizers make sure they consist of three characteristics: they should feel good, smell good and not feel greasy when you put them on.

Cetaphil moisturizing lotion is a very popular lotion to help with dry sensitive skin. It's made with extra-strength emollients and ingredients that prevent the loss of moisture as well as holding the moisture to the skin. It's fragrance-free so you won't experience any skin irritations. Macadamia nut oil is one of the main ingredients in Cetaphil moisturizers. Many women use this at night and find their skin still soft and pliable in the morning. You don't need to use very much of this moisturizer to see results so it lasts a long time.

Another good moisturizer is Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Moisture Treatment. It's used every night before bedtime and the morning brings a face that feels smooth and looks like it had a facelift during the night. The Amino-Peptide Complex works in a timed-release way to keep working on your skin all through the night. Eucerin Extra Protective Moisture Lotion is one lotion recommended by dermatologist. Included with the other great qualities are its SPF 30, which will give you extra protection and care for your dry sensitive skin. Dove Sensitive Essentials Lotion is a great lotion for your skin. A no-frill lotion that's great for your skin and sells for a reasonable inexpensive price, you'll love this lotion. As far as moisturizers go, Dove has been around for a long time satisfying customers with their lotions, creams and soaps, all which are great for sensitive skin.

Moisturizers are an excellent way to help your skin to retain the natural water and oils it loses in every day activities. What many don't realize is that to be most effective, moisturizers should be used on a regular basis, not just when you think you need them. Often a doctor or dermatologist can recommend the best type of moisturizer based on your skin type and needs.
